“Mouse” Video Game Aiming for a 2025 Release Date

A cross between the superb first-person shooter Bioshock and 1930’s rubber hose animation made popular by animator Bill Nolan, Walter Lantz Productions and Fleischer Studios, Mouse allows you to take on the role of an anthropomorphic private eye rodent as you dive into the seedy underbelly of a crime-ridden city straight out of a film noir filled with cartoony mobsters, thugs, roaming gangsters and shifty characters. Armed with a mixture of traditional and unique weapons, along with some nifty power-ups, you discover a political scheme that could very well tear the city apart if you don’t stop it.

The game comes from the newly formed Polish indie developer Fumi Games. Currently it is aiming for a 2025 release date on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Windows PC and Steam.

I’ve had this game on my radar for quite some time, but I’m very happy to see it shaping up to be something really special. I personally love the rubber hose cartoony art style and the early gameplay looks really fun too. Even your health bar is animated, which is an excellent touch. As a big fan of both Bioshock and classic cartoons, this looks right up my alley and hopefully you’ll check it too out when it’s ready to come out.
